Beautiful Quartzite Countertops

Quartzite exists as a naturally hard metamorphic rock, typically found throughout a variety of rock formations and sandstone mines. Through extreme amounts of heat and pressure, quartzite begins to form into a beautiful mosaic of crystal and shiny streaks. This metamorphism leaves behind a durable and versatile material to use in creating unique quartzite countertops.

At Ispica Marble and Granite, we are proud to carry a wide selection of quartzite countertops to match your new construction vision or your existing home décor. Visit our gallery to see our past work!

Information about Quartzite Countertops

The use of Quartzite slabs for custom-made countertops has become popularized over the last handful of years. Due to its versatility, durability, design, and ease of maintenance, many homeowners & general contractors lean on this material for their home remodeling and building projects.

Quartzite countertops are extremely durable with its strong and non-porous top, while also being naturally resistant to chemical weathering. With such a hard structure, quartzite countertops are not as flexible, leaving it susceptible to chipping and scratching from sharp objects.

Like quartz, quartzite has a similar appearance due to the presence of mixed minerals colors. However, quartzite appears as white & grey with pink and red hues due to the oxidization of the pure sandstone. While quartzite countertops are limited to the amount of color options available, it does provide a more natural stone appearance than quartz.

In terms of maintenance, quartzite does require a little more maintenance than quartz. Unfortunately, because quartzite countertops hold natural stone, they need to be sealed properly once or twice a year to prevent stains or other materials getting into the quartzite. Once sealed, quartzite can easily be cleaned, however please ensure the cleaner you are using is safe to use on countertops.

When it comes to bathroom countertops or kitchen countertops, quartzite is an ideal choice for any countertop design. In a bathroom, our quartzite countertops are primarily used by homeowners looking to implement or replace an existing vanity top. A main use of quartzite can be found within the kitchen of a home. This material is popular for most kitchen countertops and island tops. It’s versatility can quickly become a focal point for any home or building application.
